Some slum dwellers in Lagos have stormed the office
of the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, over the
planned demolition of slums in the state.
In a bid to announce their displeasure of the planned
demolition of slums in the state which was scheduled
to start today, some angry residents in Lagos State on
Monday, stormed the office of the state governor,
Akinwunmi Ambode.
Accoridng to Premium Times, over 500 protesters
include men, women, and young people were pictured
at the entrance of the governor's house.
Their demand is that the government suspends the
planned demolition that could leave hundreds of
thousands of people homeless.
