Cows invade Owerri airport runway, force pilot to delay landing

Mbakwe Airport , Owerri , when the pilot discovered that
the runway had been invaded by cows .

According to Vanguard, a passenger aboard the flight ,
Richard Akinola , said the pilot could not land until the
runway was cleared by airport security .

When Vanguard contacted Henrrietta Yakubu , the
acting General Manager, Public Affairs, Federal Airports
Authority of Nigeria , FAAN for details on the incident ,
she said she had not been briefed and promised to get
back to them.
